this is what cash money is...
dawned on me just other day...
odd, when you look at it (longishly) at this angle...
look at it after a good healthy travel..
say you go to New Zealand..
they use cards for just about everything over there -
that sounds more advanced to me -
than carrying round pieces of paper with pictures of presidents on them -
and coins - with engraved guys on 'em -
and look at this guy -
jingling a paper coffee cup -
he wants more of these coins -
and people are reluctant (or, more oft the case, just plain not going) to give him any of their pieces of papers or coins -
me too at this point -
i have to hold onto my green pieces of paper -
so I can buy a burrito at the mexican place -
to.. stay alive.. - is life hinged on these pieces of paper with past presidents on them??????? is there something majorly shot-through in this???????
and I have to pay landlord invisible pieces of paper (this is a very faithy thing) via a 'check' so that they (whoever 'they' is) won't come and play out the picture that appears in head when I think of failing to sufficiently pay rent: a set of burly Russian guys dragging me down stairs - big kick to behind - rolling to lying by curb...
what a system that's so seemingly aLOCK in place these days!!! Eh???
and this lady - in deli asking for a "Lucky Seven" ticket - trying to win many pieces of paper - just by scratching stuff off with a coin. . . and what's this I hear about this 'lotto' business funding public schools - like textbooks and programs - - - can this be any good? Is this in some way fueling to keep things flowing along as they are. . .
Let's switch to cards - and put credit on them - on everyone's - credit enough so that no one ever has to subject themselves to having to look like a dope, jingling a paper coffee cup in the metro car. . . a system where people can at least afford to eat and drink in this brief vapor of a life we get. . .
