entering into a more conceptual age

I think we're entering into a more conceptual age. . .
Yes there've been words amongst intellectuals for a while about this (with few convincing results). . .
But it's making more and more sense to me. . .
Seeing as.. when you build something.. you're intently focused on the building of it...
When you're done, you go have a meal and enjoy some sort of liesure. . .
Now, think of this country. . . Think how it's been so 'build! build! buuiild!!' for so many years. . . - and who has time to appreciate the arts when you're drawing up architectural blueprints - or swinging hammers - or rattling at a jackhammers, laying railroad tracks, constructing Universities, on and on. . . - and throw wars into the mix - who can focus on creative endeavors when bombshells are blasting the house nextdoor. . .
Now though. . . things seem to be setting pretty well into place.. lots of stuff is built.. focus can shift from 'build-build-build!' to more of a 'maintenace mode'. . . less frantic swinging of hammers, less rumbling bulldozers.. - and factor in computers - see how many jobs they've replaced (are replacing)... - and far as wars go - get this Iraq thing over with asap.. - and even that - as it goes on - doesn't seem even close to the scale of how things were back like, say, during WWII. . .
So, all that energy (think of the great energy of this country - of other countries!), think directing it from hauling big red iron beams, from leaning into a hummer mounted machine guns) to. . . colaborating in a new experimental film project, writing a new style of poetry - a new novel, opening a venue for readings, performances, you get the point. . .
The conceptual getting the upper hand over constructional. . .
Brains over brawn. . .
The more we move in this direction - and the quicker - the better. . .
enough with the spazzmunchers. . .
